And this is nobody’s personal fault :
Industrial and technological progress provided us with opportunities for self-care our ancestors did not have but also provided brand new challenges:
We live in a society that now completely normalized being disconnected from our Bodies and Earth. We grew up being taught to ignore our daily body-heart-mind rhythms and cycles and run our day exclusively on external schedules and deadlines. We abandoned our self-care instincts and became numb to inner guidance for the sake of high productivity and accomplishment dictated by external expectations (even if you work for yourself).
Then we try to do Self-Care on top of this (dis)functioning which is why the notion of Self-Care became synonymous with something like additional part time job instead of natural part of daily life.
We mean well, we want to take care of ourselves … but for one reason or another our health and wellness end up on the back burner. Which means that sooner or later, there is a price to pay – constant fatigue, chronic aches and pains, emotional roller coaster, extra pounds, mental clutter and anxiety … . And if we do not pick up on these messages, illness is usually sure to follow.
So what to do?
While it is not our personal fault, as only very few women were lucky enough to learn about meaningful and effective Self-Care from their birth families, it is up to us to transform these patterns.
We can have productive lives while living in harmony with our bodies and Earth.
I am here as a woman’s health and wellness coach to guide you on this journey from Self-Care Surviving to Thriving.
Like many others, I did not learn about self-care growing up, however I spent the last 17+ studying the methods, techniques, and approaches towards integrative health and wellness.
I have walked the journey of self-healing, self-discovery, and self-empowerment step by step. And I would be honored if you choose any of my services to guide and support you along your own journey.
